Chandigarh: A student can apply to IITs and NITs for technical studies. As they publish about their notifications on a daily newspaper. If a student scored a minimum of 25 marks he or she can easily apply for such courses. But confirming the marks is very important before applying. Crossing the minimum qualification marks will make you a qualified student. If a student scores less than 25% he or she can apply again for the gate exam.
As there are no age limitations for GATE exam. You can give the exams as many times you can till you score above 25%. You can apply for any colleges after scoring 25% marks. You will be able to apply in general category. Some students face difficulties during the gate examination and they score less. They can give their exam any time they want and compare their earlier score. Gate exam validity is for 3 years. The qualification required for gate eligibility is minimum graduation in engineering.
A student who has attempted the GATE exam again, then the rank of the last gate exam is considered as a preference. If a student scores low marks in last year's gate exams, he or she will not get admission in any reputed colleges. So it is better to write the exam with scoring good marks. A person should know the minimum marks for getting qualified for gate exam. So if your score is less, then you will not get good college.
Scoring a good marks needs a lot of hard work and if your score is low, then you should prepare for better result. There are lists of percentages which are applicable for institutes like 96% IIT and IISC and between 85 to 96 NIT and 85% for other institutes.
