GMAT vs GRE – Which One should You Take?

Reasons for taking the test:

GMAT (Graduate Management admissions test): The score of this test are accepted mostly by Business schools.

GRE(Graduate Record Examinations): This test is taken to apply to the Graduate schools in the United States. From the last few years, GRE scores are being accepted by many Business schools as well. GRE scores are accepted by approximately 1200 MBA programs.Main reason behind accepting GRE scores by Business schools is to broaden their applicants’ profile, as it helps them evaluate  the number of candidates who’d be opting for degrees in addition to MBA.

Structure of the Test:
GMAT(Graduate management admissions test):
It is divided into 4 sections, namely
Analytical writing assessment(1 essay in 30 minutes)
Integrated reasoning                 (12 questions in 30 minutes)
Quantitative section                   (37 questions in 75 minutes)
Verbal section                              (41 questions in 75 minutes)

Verbal and Quantitative section have Multiple choice questions and at the start of these 2 sections, the candidate is presented with a question (Difficulty level-average) with each correct response the difficulty level of the question gets higher, however, if the Candidate answers the question wrong, the difficulty level of the question decreases.
